Solve real-world challenges with open innovation and design thinking!

As part of West Tech Fest 2021, CERI invites young technologists, designers, business strategists and creative Innovators to solve real-world challenges in partnership with the City of Nedlands.

CERI has teamed up with the City of Nedlands to identify three core challenges in their strategic development roadmap. Each challenge involves a complex set of problems and will require a unique convergence of disciplines and entrepreneurial thinkers to collaboratively conceptualise creative solutions. We strongly encourage blue-sky-thinking, but we are also looking for REAL solutions to REAL problems. So, each team must also design a feasibility study to prove their ideas have potential application.

The winning team will be selected to develop their idea over a twelve-month period with entrepreneurial training and guidance provided by CERI, with advice from the City of Nedlands, to assess the viability of their idea and its potential translation into a project or startup.

Eligibility: Age of entrants 18-26 yrs (No prior hackathon experience required).
